Please remember that March 10 will be a regular school day, not an early release.
Districts across the state are required to attend 75,600 minutes of school during a calendar year. Due to the bad weather days in February, March 10th will be a full day, not an early release. This will allow us to make up the necessary minutes and have days off in April.

Due to the rain from the storm this evening and wet grounds, the elementary campuses will not have Lunch on the Lawn tomorrow.

Due to the predicted rain, our Elementary Open House events are rescheduled for Monday, March 6. The Intermediate campus will have Open House on Tuesday, March 7.
Open House is always a huge, exciting event for our kids, and we want to ensure a great turnout.

Several CMISD retired educators have created a memorial scholarship for Linda Sue Wilson. Mrs. Wilson passed away in November of 2022. She worked 34 years in education, with 15 of those years here at Caddo Mills ISD. Mrs. Wilson retired from CMISD after working as a classroom teacher, PE teacher, and assistant principal of Caddo Mills Elementary School. She was instrumental in starting the KITS basketball program at the elementary school, fueling a love for basketball in many young students.
Because many of you worked with Mrs. Wilson or had her as a teacher, the retired teachers wanted to allow you the opportunity to contribute to the scholarship. Donations can be sent to the CMISD Administration Office at 100 Fox Lane, Caddo Mills, Texas 75135. Please note that your donation is for the Linda Wilson Memorial Scholarship. Contributions can be made through the end of March.

The CMISD Board of Trustees voted to accept a bond package on Monday evening at a special board meeting. Please see the additional information that is attached.

This is community support. This is Caddo Mills. Fiestas Mexican Restaurant wanted to thank our bus drivers, grounds, and maintenance crews for working so hard during the ice storm last week and keeping our students safe. Breakfast is served! Thanks Fiestas!

CMISD is still on a 2-hour delay. Staff members have been driving roads since 5:45 am, evaluating conditions. If you are in an area with poor road conditions, we understand. Please just let your campus know.

A delayed schedule for February 3, 2023, is attached.

Fox Family,
We hope you are all staying safe and warm! District staff members are monitoring the weather and checking our roads and facilities. We want to provide an update on our plans for Friday, February 2, 2023; however, unlike earlier in the week, the decision for Friday will take a little more time.
The safety of our staff and students are our top priority. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing again today, which could refreeze all the ice that melted today.
We will communicate a decision via Facebook and our messenger system, announcing if the day is a regular school day, a delayed start, or a closure. If we can have school, both elementary campuses will cancel Lunch on the Lawn tomorrow. We appreciate your patience as we continue to monitor the situation.
