Fox Community,
Good afternoon. We have had a great start to our 22-23 school year. Our students are excelling! We have students qualified for Area, Regional, State, and National Competitions in band, UIL Congress, FFA, Beta, and Cross Country. Our Fox Football Team is 11-0 and traveling to The Star tomorrow night in Frisco to take on Pleasant Grove. The Star will be full of Fox Pride!
We are almost complete with all 2020 Bond Projects. I am thankful for our community and the support and trust given in passing the 2020 Bond. All projects have come in at or under budget during a very challenging time of inflation and supply chain issues. When we first started our bond process, we thought we may have to build in phases, but we did not. We were able to bid everything at once and get a better value by doing it that way. Pre-bond planning and having construction documents ready by January '21 saved an estimated 15% compared to other districts that were a few months behind us in the process.
I hope you have been in the new high school and are proud of all the wonderful opportunities and improvements the 2020 Bond provided for our students and community.
It's a great day to be a fox!
