Pre-K had a visit from the Tooth Fairy today. She taught us all about taking care of our teeth. She brought a baggy of treats for each kid and sprinkled a bit of fairy dust.
Griffis: Due to the predicted amount of rain and thunderstorms today and tomorrow, Lunch on the Lawn on Friday, March 8th will be cancelled. The next scheduled Lunch on the Lawn is April 19th.
Griffis is excited to welcome our families to our Open House tonight from 5:00-6:30.
Our Book Fair will be open for you to visit.
Our PTO will have raffle prizes available! Make sure you stop by and see them.

It's a busy week! Tomorrow is Book Character Dress Up day at Griffis, but district wide it is pay $1 to wear pjs or hats to support local scholarships. Students may participate in either dress day!
Mrs. Miller's 3 Reading classes participated in an AR competition, earning an impressive total of 688 AR points this 9 weeks. Mrs. Rudd's homeroom was in the lead and won a Pizza party. Way to go 4th grade, keep reading!!!
Pre-K made horses, went on a trail ride, and ate some chili to culminate our unit on Texas.
Due to the Solar Eclipse, CMISD will close on April 8, 2024. Classes will resume April 9.
Griffis Elementary: We need your help!!! We are currently calling on local business owners or individuals who would like to help with donations for this year’s Field Day. Field Day will be held on May 16th at Ed Locker Stadium. If you would like to make a monetary donation please make checks payable to Griffis PTO. If you make a donation (however big or small), our Field Day announcer will advertise your business name throughout the event.
