Thank you for your help on making our front and back car line run smoothly in the afternoons! We have done a great job of finishing up the car lines pretty quickly in the afternoon.
We need your help with bike rider and walker safety. Our number of walkers and bike riders have increased this year. We have 4 staff members on duty managing our walkers and bike riders and getting them dismissed safely. We have added an afternoon crossing guard to help with the crosswalk.
Reminders: Vehicles are not allowed to park on Seabiscuit by the playground fence. We have had quite a few cars parking to pick up their students that are walkers. This is backing up our front car line and traffic on Seabiscuit.
IF YOU ARE PICKING UP YOUR STUDENT IN A VEHICLE, YOU WILL NEED TO JOIN THE DISMISSAL CAR LINE SPOT FOR THEIR GRADE LEVEL.
Please be mindful of the crosswalk on Seabiscuit. We have many cars that are not paying attention and speeding through this crosswalk. Safety is our number one priority and we need your help.
Thank you for your help!

Griffis Week at a Glance: August 19-23

Today, we worked in teams on a STEM Challenge called, Saving Fred!

Griffis is thankful for the Tea Drop today! It was a great pick me up to the 2nd day of school. We have the best community that goes above and beyond to support us.

Mrs. Dennison's and Mrs. Lee's 4th Grade Class worked on creating Social Contracts today. We talked about how we would like to be treated and how we should treat others in the classroom. We came up with a list of words that we can refer to to help us make the best of each day.
