Meal Price Lists

Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost. To learn more and apply, please visit SCHOOLCAFÈ.

In accordance with the USDA National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program and to minimize food waste, Frisco ISD offers students a variety of meal component options instead of a set meal selection.

During each meal service, students are offered:

  • A variety of fruits and vegetables

  • Whole grain-rich options

  • Quality protein

  • Low-fat plain milk or fat-free flavored milk

Students may choose all of the offered components. However, to constitute a full meal:

  • Breakfast must include three items, with at least one being a fruit or vegetable.

  • Lunch must include a minimum of three components, with at least one being a fruit or vegetable.

Students who choose fewer than three components or do not select a fruit or vegetable will be charged based on a la carte prices for their selections.

If a child has a documented disability that prevents them from consuming the regular school meal, prescribed substitutions will be made as directed by a physician at no additional cost. However, substitutions for food allergies will only be made if they meet the definition of a disability. Frequently Asked Questions

Why are a la carte items more expensive than the standard hot meal?

  • Caddo Mills ISD receives federal funding for the school lunch program. To ensure that children choose healthy meals, the Federal Government mandates that students select foods according to our menu plan. If a child does not choose a reimbursable meal, the school district does not receive funding for any part of the meal. In such cases, students are charged a la carte prices for the items selected. Consequently, they may end up paying more for less food.

My Student purchased a second meal that met the meal requirement but was charged more.

  • Each student is allowed one reimbursable meal per meal period. If a student purchases a second meal, they will be charged the la carte prices.
